Horse Girls - Social Media Manager

March 2022 - April 2022. This short-term Instagram campaign was created to promote Chapman Theatre Department's student-run one-act production of "Horse Girls" by Jenny Rachel Weiner. The desired audience for this show was Chapman Students and local theatre enthusiasts. "Horse Girls" is a dark comedy set in 2014 that follows a ruthless group of horse-obsessed pre-teens in a bloody power struggle. My vision for the show was to highlight the contrast between the glittery nostalgia of childhood and the horrors of puberty. As the director of this show, I worked with a team of student designers, actors, and faculty to bring the show to life. I won the Ron Thronson Outstanding One-Act Production award for my dedication, strong leadership, and, most importantly, my team's incredible work. In addition to leading every rehearsal and design meeting, I decided to take it one step further and create a social media presence to attract an even bigger audience. I hired a graphic designer - Makena Snipes, for the poster and logo design, and a photographer - Vivien Hildur, for our 2014 cast and crew photoshoot. I created a social media calendar to keep my busy schedule on track, implemented more video/photo content due to Instagram's engagement data, and gained 150 followers in just one month. During the two weeks before the show and the two week run, I increased engagement 35% through continuous, engaging content on our Instagram Story and Grid. Due to this, we completely sold out the entire eight-show run.
